Part 2 - Dreamworld

Just a note before we start. You know there are going to be heaps of pictures !!! Just warning you !!

Our first major adventure to the fun parks was Dreamworld. Only the four of us went. The grandmothers stayed home for this one. I have always loved this place but this time was a little disappointed. Many of the kids rides were no longer there and lots of other things were closed. Don't get me wrong I still love the place but it being winter is no excuse.

We have arrived and it being E's first time she was super excited !!
Our first paid for pic of the day. There were just inside the front gate.
Our first stop was the Giant Drop. C had been talking about this ride for some time and was feeling brave enough to come on with me. We decided to do this ride first so as not to upset any stomachs during the day !! We were lucky enough to get on it straight away as there were 2 places left.

So there we are perched on the end. Needless to say C will not be going on this ride again. Once was once to many for her but I am so happy that she found the courage to have a go.

Our next adventure was the Log Ride. I think we are really bad parents cause we basically forced E onto this one. You sit in a boat in the water that looks like a big log and go through tunnels and under bridges. Then at the end that is a long climb to the top where you free fall down a giant slippery dip and get drenched. Poor E cried from beginning to end and I don't think will trust us with anything like that again. Unfortunately the paid for picture of this one hid E. I would have loved to have seen her face. C always looks like she is scared silly but she just loves those rides. E does not !!

Lets take things a little slower now. A train ride through the park to get us to WIGGLES WORLD !! A much better place for E !!

My little family enjoying the train.
Dotted around the park are heaps of statues and things that the kids love to sit at and have their picture taken. Here are a few (Hundred) !!

Now to Wiggles World !! This area is awesome for the little ones and was definately E's favourite. All day the characters come and go for pictures, they also have a tea cup ride and the Big Red Car ride. I think we all had a great time especially on the Big Red Car !!

Sent Sandy on this one as I got to dizzy last time !!
Next on our tour was the tiger show, these animals are beautiful and scary all at the same time !!
Sandy got to be a big kid too !!

Poor E had the fright of her life during lunch. All around us there were large white Ibis' that walk around the park eating up all the scraps that people leave behind. E loves all animals but I don't think she likes Ibis' anymore. The poor thing was sitting down eating her sandwich and turned her back for a moment with her hand down when the bird took its chance. There was an almighty scream from E about the bird biting her and when I tried to pick her up and put her on my lap she thought that there was another bird trying to get her. The poor child was so distraught she was shaking ! It took ages to clam her down.

Next we saw the sheep shearing show then on to feed the kangaroos and have our picture taken with a Koala, one of my favourite animals !

What a cute family !!!!
Next stop and one of my favourites again was the old cars. They are great for the kids is that they are able to drive them and E was tall enough to do it !!

The next set of pictures are the pictures that everyone gets while they are in Dreamworld. They have been around for many, many years and are a bit of fun!

Highly impressed about being caught !!
And so we come to the end of a great day. The kids were fantastic and there was one more surprise for us before leaving the park, Kenny and Belinda Koala !! They are the official mascots for Dreamworld. There are very cheeky characters, they were playing with the kids and kept knocking their hats off !!

THE END !!
