Manly Take 2

On the weekend I was able to get away by myself and spend the night at Uncle Jim's place. On Saturday morning I hopped on the train and headed to Sydney for a few hours of shopping at Paddy's Markets before getting ready to see a performance of Love Never Dies with Uncle Jim at the Capitol Theatre. Love Never Dies is the sequel to the Phantom of the Opera (my favorite stage show !!).

So on Sunday morning Sandy and the girls drove to Uncle Jim's to pick me up and have a day out in Manly. The weather I have to say was perfect and 1,000,000 % better than out last trip. Tracee I hope this makes you 'homesick" !!!

The multi storey building on the left was were Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were married !
Manly Beach is beautiful !!!
Luckily Sandy made E wear shorts under her dress. The bottom of the dress was soaked !!
Nigel no friends !!! Well we did need someone to look after the shoes !!
Watch out girls !!
After enjoying the waves and the beach we headed back to the Corso and wandered how on earth we were going to get the sand off our feet. There were some beach showers but no taps to wash the sand off until we went across the road and found this ....

What a perfect way to clean up !!
Next stop was again the Aquarium while Uncle Jim browsed the markets. The kids love going to see all the fish, especially the sharks and turtles. On the way to see the fish we stopped off to buy some chocolate. E didn't want any so ended up getting a foam sword !!! I preferred the chocolate !!!

Just have to pose for each photo !!
I opened it with my new sword !!!
I'll fight it off with my new sword before he gets me !!!
What a perfect weekend. Entertainment, me time, family, sand, surf and perfect weather. What more could anyone want. Roll on the next one !!! Hope this has made you really, really miss us here in Australia Jared and Tracee cause we miss you heaps xxxx. And a huge thanks to Uncle Jim for being my "date" for the theatre and putting up with me all weekend. Love you xxxx

Randoms of E

Just thought I would throw in a few random things that have been happening here in the Moore household.

First and one of the most important is that E lost her first and second teeth in one week.

First tooth lost 25th Jan.
Second tooth lost 4th Feb.
Also good news on the school front. E brought home her first award from her first school assembly !!! She was also the first one called up to get the awards. I think we have a teachers pet in the making !!! :D

One very happy child !! One proud mum !!!
E asked me to cut her nail that had broken and when I had a look I just had to take a picture. Tell me what you think ......

My thought was Devil Horns.
E says it reminds her of Dracula !!

Big School

Hooray !! The day has arrived for E to start "Big School". The first day of the rest of her schooling life !

What an excited child I have. E has been counting down the days since Christmas, watching me cross off the days on the calender. You know that there are going to be lots of pictures so here goes !!

My very excited and grown up girl !!!
My beautiful girls. Sister that look like twins !!!
C was very excited to welcome E to school !!
We have to have the waving goodbye at the gate photo !!!
We were lucky enough to get a picture with the principle.
Ready to go in with Immogen.
E had a fantastic first day at school. She came out at the end of the day still happy and wanting to go back the next day and has already made one new friend !! One poor little girl came out to her mum in tears and said "I don't like school". All the parents that had heard her had a little chuckle !!

Four happy smiling faces !!! Not sure if they are happy to have been at school or happier to be going home !!!
Day 4 and still happy to be at school !!
I think C may want to go back to Kindy !!
Both girls have settled into school really well. E is happy with her teacher Mrs Cooper and also very pleased to have Holly and Immogen in her class. We are very proud of you E and know that you will always try your very best at everything you do at school. Enjoy every day xxxx

Disney LIVE !!

Today was the day to see Disney Live at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre. What a fantastic show !! And we had fantastic seats that were front on to the stage. Perfect viewing !! It was also a great opportunity for the girls to wear their Mickey Ears !!

Waiting to see Mickey Mouse with Grandma.
And an excited mum !!

Disney Live is a stage show with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofey and their friends. And what great friends they were !!

Aladin came to visit first.
Then Sabastian was next.
The mermaids who sang "All the Single Ladies". Great song !!

After the interval it was Aerials turn to come and visit. This was who E was waiting for !!

The Toy Story Soldiers were amazing.
A skipping Bulls Eye !!
To Infinity and Beyond !!! Buzz, Jessie, Woody & Mickey.
The whole cast together. What an awesome show !!

We all had a great time at the show and wanted to go and see it again. The only down side is the cost of everything. We had a picture taken with a Mickey Mouse cutout which cost $16.00 and the necklaces the girls got were $10.00 a pop! I think they would sell so much more and probably make more money if the cost was a little lower. Never the less a great time had by all.

A Family Day Out

On Saturday Sandy and I packed up the kids and took off down the coast for the day.

Our first stop was Huskisson to feed the fish. The kids had such a great time doing it last time, we thought it time to do it again !!

The ducks wanted in to !!!
This time on our walk along the board walk there were thousands of tiny crabs running everywhere.

This one was stopped for a drink break !!
The fish were really biting, pity you can't fish there !!
Next stop was Vincentia for lunch. While we were having our lunch we were lucky, or unlucky for the person involved, to witness one car back into another in the carpark !!! Quite funny to watch and listen to the horn blaring on the Mercedes while the Kia Carnival reversed into them !!! I don't think the Kia had any idea what was happening !!! Needless to say the near new Mercedes driver was NOT happy.

Next was a long but fun drive along dirt roads to the Southern Highlands before a park break for the kids in Robertson. The park we stopped at in Robo was fantastic for kids of all ages. (Even the older ones as you will see !!)

This was the cutest swing I have ever seen. Perfect for the babies !!
Next was this gorgeous petrol station, complete with the bowser.
Then the Icecream truck !!
And the funny mirrors. Awesome park !!
See told you it was for all ages !!
The whole climbing structure and some extra swings.
There were a whole heap of other things for the kids to play on and heaps more pics taken. Just thought I'd share some of the new things.

On the way home at the bottom of the mountain we made one more stop. Sandy had said to the kids before we left that we may be able to stop somewhere for them to get their feet wet. I don't think that this was what they had in mind !!

The water crossing at the bottom of Macquarie Pass.
Are we bad parents for letting our kids play on a public road !!!
They had a great time and got their "feet wet" !!

And so our latest adventure comes to an end. I wonder what will be next !!
