Grading November 2012

Yes I am very late posting this blog but have been super busy, so look out for a few blogs back to back.

Grading for Taekidokai is always an exciting time when we are able to see how well the kids are going and watch them gain more confidence. This grading however was extra special as it was E's first time grading.

E is quite a quiet child when it comes to doing new things and for some reason doesn't like males. She will not go to a male doctor nor a male dentist. I am surprised that she will talk to Santa !! So we then had to find her a female Taekido teacher which meant that we had to change classes.

With E being so quiet we wondered how she would go and poor Sandy was the one that had to take her. For the first few weeks he also had to train on the floor with her cause she was to scared to be there by herself.

So with that we wondered what she would be like at the Grading Test. Even her instructor was a little nervous about what she might and might not do as she was not the one to grade her, it was a MALE. But to all our amazement she was on the floor by herself and followed every instruction given to her !!!

Next it was C's turn to try her hand at getting an orange belt. The Orange belt is the senior end of the Junior section.

We are so proud of both our girls, they were fantastic on the day and E was so brave to get up there on her own. Her instructor was also very proud and gave her a massive hug !!

If both girls keep up their good work they may be able to grade back to back. And if C really keeps it up and trains hard she will be breaking boards by the end of the year. Good work girls xxxx
