Lady Denman Museum

On Tuesday 25th January Sandy decided to take us all on an adventure drive down the NSW south coast. So packing the kids and lunch in the car we ended up at the Lady Denman Museum.

The Lady Denman Heritage Complex houses the Lady Denman Ferry which was built in 1911 in Huskisson and worked Sydney Harbour until 1979. She is the last remaining large wooden boat built by the Huskisson family shipyards.

The complex houses the ferry inside a purpose built building and also houses galleries and other naval artifacts. Outside there is a large fish pond, gardens, picnic areas and a great mangrove boardwalk.
