The Artist

During the school holidays the kids were able to spend a few dollars at the shops. One of the things we picked up were 2 poster colouring packs with included 8 crayons. E came home with a Dora one and C's was Tinkerbell.

C was straight into hers and had 4 done on the first day !!! I was so impressed by what she had done with only the crayons provided that I decided to dedicate a blog just to her !!

Everywhere she went, along came the posters. It only took her about 4 days to do them all !!

 She was able to take them school to show them off. The teacher was so impressed by what she had done, he offered to have some of them laminated !! After all she is coming first in Maths and Art !!! C didn't get the maths brain from me but I will take some of the credit for the artistic side !!!

A job well done sweet heart. Even though we didn't see much of you for those 4 days, it has definitely been worth the effort. I can just see a scrapbook page forming by either you or me from the pictures I have taken to have a lasting memory of your wonderful work !!!!

Birthday's Part 2

Time for E's first birthday party with friends. Even though it is the middle of winter all E wanted to do was have a pool party. Low and behold I knew the perfect place !! So set with my new water proof camera which I hadn't really used before we headed off to the pool.

Like I said I hadn't really used the new camera and never in the water so wasn't sure what would happen. The next picture was supposed to be of Ella taking the first ride down the slide. Not as successful as I would have hoped :(

What a great time we had, I have to say that this has to be one of my favourite parties. All the parents were impressed with how it all went and I think that there may be more pool parties to come !!

A huge thank you to everyone for coming and bringing such fantastic gifts. No double cards and no double presents !! E already had a barbie car but when she compared them both so chose her new one and gave her old one to C. What a great sister !!!

With some practice I think I will really like my new camera and I love that I can take it in the water so roll on summer !!!

Birthday's Part 1

So another year has rolled by with E turning 6 !! Lucky for E this year there was a teachers strike so a whole day off for her birthday !!!

As always the kids aren't allowed to open their presents until dad is home from work. This year Grandma came over for the afternoon to help celebrate.

Hooray E now has her own Pillow Pet, which is a dog of course !!

E was good enough to let C get her Pillow Pet from Grandma early so now we have a Pillow Pet family !!

So after the first round of presents it was off to swimming lessons. Funny thing was that we did the same thing last year !! Swimming lessons on her birthday with her mother !! Luckily not with me again this year !!!

After swimming we were off to dinner at KFC, again the same thing we did last year. Is there a pattern forming here ??? !!!

So at the end of her birthday I think she has done really well. Now we wait and see what will be on offer when we hit the water for her pool party on Saturday.
