Birthday's Part 1

So another year has rolled by with E turning 6 !! Lucky for E this year there was a teachers strike so a whole day off for her birthday !!!

As always the kids aren't allowed to open their presents until dad is home from work. This year Grandma came over for the afternoon to help celebrate.

So here goes with all the photos !!

First presents from Grandma.

Hooray E now has her own Pillow Pet, which is a dog of course !!

E was good enough to let C get her Pillow Pet from Grandma early so now we have a Pillow Pet family !!

So after the first round of presents it was off to swimming lessons. Funny thing was that we did the same thing last year !! Swimming lessons on her birthday with her mother !! Luckily not with me again this year !!!

After swimming we were off to dinner at KFC, again the same thing we did last year. Is there a pattern forming here ??? !!!

So at the end of her birthday I think she has done really well. Now we wait and see what will be on offer when we hit the water for her pool party on Saturday.

Disney On Ice Rocks !!!

Ok so on the weekend the girls, mum and I headed to Disney On Ice. We have been to a fair few of these shows but have NEVER been so close.

This kids had no idea that we were going but I have secretly been waiting for this day for months !! I love all things Disney and couldn't wait to get into our third row seats.

As you all know I LOVE to take pictures and so there will be a stack of photos attached to this post. But be thankful that I am not posting all of the 112 photos that I did take !!! I really need to book tickets to two shows as I saw most of the show through the lens of my camera !!!

Just before the end of the show the VIP's are allowed to get right down next to the rink and say hello to the characters !! Woohoo for VIP seats !! The kids were ready to run and lucky we were able to get right in the front !!! I think though that I was the most excited !!

I have to say that this Disney show was one of the best that I have seen. The costumes were amazing and there were so many characters from so many different movies. The extra cost for the VIP tickets was well worth it and I will definitely be doing it again next time they all come to town.

My Sporty Girls

This post is a little behind time because I have been flat out working which has been great fun.

So over the past couple of the weeks the girls have been very sporty. C was lucky enough to qualify for the district cross country and the school athletics carnival was also held.

The first part of this post is C at the cross country. She was so excited to be able to go and we were very proud of her achievements .

C ran a fantastic race !!!

 C ran an awesome race for her first go coming in the middle of the pack, but by the end she was exhausted. Her reaction to the day was that she NEVER wants to do it again !!! Maybe she will change her mind next year !!!!

Now onto the athletics carnival. This year I did a lot of running around the field myself chasing both the girls trying to make sure that I saw each one do all of their events. E was very excited about the whole idea of trying all the new sports !!!

First up E with the high jump. Very funny to watch !!!

The kindy kids just had to jump on the mat. Pretty funny cause that mat is pretty high !!!

Next up was C with the 100 meters.

All in all it wasn't a bad day although E did go home before lunch and C lasted till the end of lunch. Neither wanted to finish the day. I don't blame them. The weather was really hot so the kids got really tired real quick and so did I !!! I was more than happy to go home !!

I am very proud of both my girls for getting in and having a good go at everything they do.
