Coffs Harbour - Day 3

Day 3 of our journey took us to the Pet Porpoise Pool. One of my favourite places !! I didn't know how the kids would receive the place as it is only small and also didn't know how they would react to being so close to the animals. But they were great and had a ball.

Just a note that there are heaps of pics on this post, thus it only being one day but with 4 people to photograph there is always alot of pics so here goes !!!

Watching "Abbie" train before the show
E getting ready for her "kiss"
C getting her "kiss"
Even Sandy got a "kiss" !!
Now for my turn. One of my favourite things to do.
Now for the Seal "kiss". E got one to and loved it. Very fishy !!
C's turn for the "kiss" also very fishy !!
All those pictures were taken all before the show even started !! Sandy also had his seal "kiss" but I didn't have the camera ready. Not to worry because we purchased the offical pics which were a little pricey but when one is on holidays one has to pay the price !! Plus I don't plan to visit again anytime soon !!!!

Just before the show began, E and I got to feed the seal !! Again loved this one.
Our first act of the show. Couldn't get any better.
Second row in the middle. Right in the heart of the action !
What a good sport. Sandy got up there to feed the dolphins !!
Gooooo Daddy !!!
Here's the proof !! You can just see his head.
Even C got in on the show. She got to play with the seal !!
After the show everyone was allowed to approach the pool and play around with the dolphins. What a treat this was for the kids, they didn't want to leave and neither did I !!! Also after the show they had two more feedings, one for the fish and turtle and another for the penguins.

Getting to play with the dolphins.
Feeding the fish was great but scary, we thought that one fish was going to get it
then another would come along and grab it.
Making us all jump back. Funny but scary at the same time.
Feeding the penguins another highlight.
Our friend came over for a chat !!
Once we were finished having fun with our friends we headed to the Big Banana hoping for a train ride around the plantation. Unfortunately this no longer exists, which was very disappointing, but they do have a sky walk where you can walk among the trees and it has a great outlook from the top.

They now have different activities including ice skating, tabboganing, water slides and of course they still have the candy store where they make fresh lollies everyday. Yummy !! So we just decided to have a look at the candy store and a quick look around the shop and of course had pics taken infront on the banana, although it is the back of the banana as they were doing work on the front.

After the Big Banana we headed home for another refreshing dip in the pool before our BBQ dinner.

Higher Daddy Higher !!!
My very own Seal !!!
Enjoying our BBQ dinner on our patio after a very eventful day.
We have all had a great day today, seen lots of great things and learnt lots. Who knows what will be in store for tomorrow and there will probably be lots more pictures :) !!!

  2. Oh my gosh...that looks so fun! Man, I wish that was a little closer to Sydney! The seal kiss looks a little scary (and smelly!), but it's one of those things you just HAVE to do, I guess. :) Nice photos, Donna!
